Webex Classroom: "Ultrasound discovery is unavailable" Error Message

How do I connect to a Webex device if I get an "Ultrasound discovery is unavailable" error message?

Answer

 

  1. This error could occur if your laptop microphone is having issues connecting to the Webex device.

  2. Make sure you are on YSU's wireless.

  3. Click Search for a device.

  4. After you click that, you will either get a list of Webex devices or you will need to type in the name of your device.

    • The name of your device can be found at the top left of the TV screen or on the Cisco touch panel.

  5. After you click the name of your device (or type the name of the device and click it) the Cisco device will display a 4-digit code to connect to it.

  6. You will have to type in the 4-digit code and then click OK.

  7. After that, you will be connected to the Cisco device and can click on the name of it at the bottom left corner of the screen and be able to share your screen.
