How do I report an issue with my voicemail?

Answer

Use the information in this article when reporting an issue with your voicemail system.

  1. Navigate to the Voicemail: Reporting Issues on the Technology Support Portal
  2. Sign in with your YSU Login ID and password if prompted.
  3. Click Request Service (typically located on the right side of the page).
  4. You will be prompted to complete the following information. The items with an asterisk are required:
    • Requester*: Enter the person requesting information or assistance. This field will autocomplete to the person who is signed in to the site.
    • Department*: Select the department associated with the person requesting assistance. This should only be changed if you have a dual role (e.g. student and student employee for a department).
    • Location of YSU Phone*: Select the building where the YSU phone is located.
    • Room of the YSU Phone: Select the room where the YSU phone is located. Once a building is selected, the room prompt will appear. If the room is not found, please include in the description.
    • Voicemail Phone Extension*: Enter the YSU 4-digit extension for this voicemail service request.
    • Urgency: Select the importance of this request and how quickly it needs attention.
    • Description: Describe, in detail, the type of information or assistance you are requesting; provide as much information as possible to expedite your request.
    • Attachment: Click Browse to attach any file(s) relevant to this request; this can include screenshots, error logs, etc.
  5. ​​Once you have completed the form, click Request.
