Airtame: Share PowerPoint and View Presenter Mode

Question

Does Airtame allow presenters to share their PowerPoint and also view presenter mode on a wireless connected laptop?

Answer

Airtame does allow presenters to wireless share a PowerPoint presentation and simultaneously view that presentation in presenter mode.

 

Please follow the specified instructions:

Mac Computers

PC Computers

 

Mac Computers:

  1. Open Airtame on your Macbook. (To download Airtame, refer to Airtame: Present Wirelessly Using Airtame.) Once opened, Airtame should appear in the dock.

  1. Minimize Airtame.
  2. Open the PowerPoint presentation using the PowerPoint desktop app. 

Note: Airtame will not see a PowerPoint presentation opened in the online version of PowerPoint as separate entity than the hosting browser window. The Desktop application must be used. To download PowerPoint onto your laptop, refer to Microsoft 365: Installing Microsoft Office on a Personal Device.

  1. Navigate to the Slide Show ribbon.

  1. Select Play from Start. The PowerPoint's full screen presentation should begin starting with the first slide.

  1. Simultaneously press control and the down arrow on your keyword. The applications currently open and running on your computer and the dock should appear.

  1. Reopen Airtame by clicking the Airtame widget in the exposed dock.​​​​​​
  2. Connect to the correct Airtame system.
  3. Input the pin displayed on the Airtame screen.

  1. Select Share window.

  1. Select the window hosting the PowerPoint presentation. The PowerPoint presentation should be displayed both on your laptop and the Airtame display.

  1. Select the ellipse (...) in the bottom left corner of the presentation.
  2. Select Use Presenter View. The presenter mode should now display exclusively on your laptop. The Airtame display should still display the presentation.

PC Computers

  1. Open Airtame on your PC. (To download Airtame, refer to Airtame: Present Wirelessly Using Airtame.) Once opened, Airtame should appear in the dock.

  2. Open the PowerPoint presentation using the PowerPoint desktop app.

  1. Select Play from Start. The PowerPoint's full screen presentation should begin starting with the first slide.

  1. Click the Windows button on the keyboard. Click the up (^) arrow in the task bar. 
  2. Reopen Airtame by clicking the Airtame widget in the exposed menu.​​​​​​

  1. Connect to the correct Airtame system.
  2. Input the pin displayed on the Airtame screen.

  1. Select Share window.
  2. Select the window hosting the PowerPoint presentation. The PowerPoint presentation should be displayed both on your laptop and the Airtame display.

  1. Select the ellipse (...) in the bottom left corner of the presentation. If it is not present, click anywhere on presentation.
  2. Select Use Presenter View. The presenter mode should now display exclusively on your laptop. The Airtame display should still display the presentation.
