How do I install the free version of Microsoft Office Suite provided by YSU on my ChromeBook or Windows S Mode?

ChromeOS Instructions
1. Open the Google Play Store
2. Search for the Office program you want to download.
3. Click Install
4. Once the app is downloaded, open the Chrome launcher to open the app.
5. Sign in to your YSU account.
Chrome Web Store
Some Chromebooks only have access to the Chrome Web Store. The only way to use Mircosoft Office on these Chromebooks would be to use Office Online.
1. Log into your Office 365 email.
2. Select the square in your upper left corner, next to "Outlook"
3. Select the program under "Apps" you want to use.
Windows S Mode Instructions
To install programs and software from outside the Windows Store, you must take the laptop out of S mode. This step is irreversible and once a laptop is taken out of S mode, you cannot go back to S mode. The upgrade from S Mode to normal Windows 10 is free and will allow for the installation of any programs or software through the normal process of downloading. To install Microsoft Office while within Windows S Mode, follow the instructions below.
1. Open the Start menu
2. On the App List, find and click the Office App you want to install
3. The Office page will open in the Windows Store, click Install
4. Open the app from the Office product page.
5. Click Got it! to start using Office.
