Question
How do I clear my web browser's cache (temp. files), cookies, and history?
NOTE: YSU websites and systems work best in Google Chrome. Firefox is a good alternative too.

Desktop Browsers:
Chrome:
- Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner
- Click History then History again in the side menu that appears
- Click Delete Browsing Data from the left panel:
- Set Time Range to All Time and make sure all 3 boxes are checked, then click Delete Data.
- Quit Chrome and reopen it.
Firefox:
- Click on the 3 horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the browser.
- From the drop-down menu, select History.
- Then Select Clear recent history.
- Set "When:" to Everything on the drop-down selection
- Check all 5 boxes then click Clear
- Quit Firefox and reopen it.
Microsoft Edge:
- Click the 3 dots in the top right corner and click History.
- In the new panel, click the Trash Can icon.
- In the new tab, the Delete Browsing Data box should appear.
- Set Time Range to All Time, check all 4 boxes, then click Clear Now
- Close Edge and reopen it
Safari:
- Using the ribbon at the top, click History, then select Clear History.
- Change "Clear" range to All History, then click Clear History.
- Quit Safari then reopen it
Mobile Browsers:
Android:
You should be able to clear your cache and data from your application management settings menu on most Android devices with the following:
- Go to Settings and choose Apps or Application Manager.
- Swipe to the All tab.
- In the list of installed apps, find and tap your web browser. Tap Clear Data and then Clear Cache.
- Quit all browsers and re-open.
Chrome on Android:
- Tap the Chrome menu and then Settings.
- Tap (Advanced) Privacy.
- Tap Clear browsing data.
- Quit all browsers and re-open.
Safari on iOS:
- Open your Settings app.
- Tap Safari.
- Tap Clear History and Website Data and confirm.
- Quit Safari and re-open.
