Answer
Desktop Browsers:
Firefox:
- Click on the 3 horizontal lines icon (Library) in the upper right corner of the browser.
- From the drop-down menu, select History.
- Select Clear your recent history.
- Select Everything on the drop-down selection next to Time range to clear:.
- Check off the boxes for Offline Website Data and Site Preferences.
- Click on Clear Now.
- Quit Firefox and reopen it.
Chrome:
- In the browser bar, enter chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
- Select the following:
- Browsing history
- Download history
- Cookies and other site and plug-in data
- Cached images and files
- From the Obliterate the following items from: drop-down menu, you can choose the time period for which you want to clear cached information. To clear your entire cache, select the beginning of time.
- Click Clear browsing data.
- Quit Chrome and re-open.
Internet Explorer 11:
- Click the cog wheel icon in the upper right corner of the browser window.
- From the drop-down menu, select Internet Options.
- Under the General tab, select Browsing History and then Delete.
- For this time, deselect Preserve favorites website data.
- Select Download history.
Safari:
- From the Safari menu, select Clear History and Website Data.
- Select the desired time range, and then click Clear History.
- Go to Safari and select Quit Safari or press Command-Q to exit the browser completely.
Mobile Browsers:
Android:
You should be able to clear your cache and data from your application management settings menu on most Android devices with the following:
- Go to Settings and choose Apps or Application Manager.
- Swipe to the All tab.
- In the list of installed apps, find and tap your web browser. Tap Clear Data and then Clear Cache.
- Quit all browsers and re-open.
Chrome on Android:
- Tap the Chrome menu and then Settings.
- Tap (Advanced) Privacy.
- Tap Clear browsing data.
- Quit all browsers and re-open.
Safari on iOS:
- Open your Settings app.
- Tap Safari.
- Tap Clear History and Website Data and confirm.
- Quit Safari and re-open.
