Question

How do I request a WebFOCUS new report, modification to a report, set-up or modification to report caster, or create a data file/metadata?

Answer

Use this service to request a WebFOCUS new report, modification to a report, set-up or modification to report caster, or create a data file/metadata.  

This service is considered as a planned enhancement.  The Application Services Manager and Director are notified to prioritize and assign accordingly.   

How to Request a WebFOCUS Report or Service:

  1. Navigate to the WebFOCUS: Request Report or Service button found in the Business Applications Service Catalog on the Technology Support Portal.
  2. Sign in with your YSU Login ID and password if prompted.
  3. Click Request Change (typically located on the right side of the page).
  4. You will be prompted to complete the following information. The items with an asterisk are required:
    • Business Module*: Select the Banner system this service request is related to.
    • Related Software*: Select the non-Banner (3rd party) software this service request pertains to.
    • Requested Due Date*: Select the date you are requesting this service to be completed by.
    • Request is Mandated By: This indicates this service request is mandated by Federal, state, or local regulations (ie: Government regulation, HEI (Higher Education Information System), Internal/External Auditor). The default is N/A (Not Applicable)
    • Compliance Date: Select the date the mandated request is required to be compliant by.
    • Impact: Select the impact in terms of number of individuals affected by this request.
    • Urgency*: Select the importance of this request and how quickly it needs attention.
    • Title*: Enter a short description of the service request. 
    • Description*: Enter a detailed description of this WebFOCUS request.
    • Attachment: Click Browse to attach any file(s) relevant to this request; this can include screenshots, error logs, etc.
  5. Once you have completed the form, click Request Service.
