Question
Saving to your Webex Cloud vs Desktop
Answer
There are two ways of saving a Webex recording:
Saving to Webex Cloud
Saving to Webex's cloud has its benefits. Recordings will automatically generate a meeting summary, transcripts, and saved meetings chat. A written transcript is required if posting content online and in the learning management system (LMS), Blackboard.
NOTE: Video processing takes twice as long as the recording while it generates a transcript and other resources from a meeting. Please review your transcripts and summaries for accuracy.
1. Start a personal meeting in Webex.

2. Click the Record button.

3. Click on "Save to the cloud" tab.

Once saved to the cloud, use ysu.webex to access the hyperlink to share recorded content.
1. Go to ysu.webex and sign in with your YSU Username and Password.

2. Click on Recordings and select recording from the list of all recordings. You may delete, download, share or edit a recording using the controls on the right.

Saving to Computer
Saving a recording to your computer will automatically download a completed video to your device. Your video will not be stored on the cloud.
NOTE: This video will not contan a transcript or summary. Saving to the cloud is the preferred method to obtain digitally accessible video elements such as a transcript.
1. Start a personal meeting in Webex.

2. Click on the Record button.

3. Click "Save to my computer" tab.

Finding the Recording on Your Computer
After ending your recording, you will be prompt with a small window on the bottom right side of your screen.

1. Click on the folder icon to locate the video on your device.

2. Locate your video.
