Windows 11: Setup & Login

Question

I just got Windows 11 on my computer. How do I go through the initial setup and login?

Answer

YSU is starting the process of rolling out Windows 11 campus wide. The authentication and security of your computer will be associated with your YSU Microsoft 365 account.

Please take a moment to review the setup and login procedure for Windows 11 computers.

Connect if desired or continue with just Ethernet if you are connected. After deciding to stay with Ethernet or connecting to Wifi, click the Next button to continue setup.

Depending on the hardware attached to your computer, you will be prompted to create a PIN, however, you may also have biometric options such as face recognition and/or finger print sign in. As of this writing, most YSU computers do not support biometric sign in. Click OK to continue.
