What is the purpose of Blackboard's Activity Stream?

Activity Stream is an individualized, tailored educational news feed that helps students stay in the know regarding coursework, grades, and instructor notes!
Activity Stream items are grouped into the following categories:
- Important: overdue coursework, tests, & graded discussions
- Upcoming: top events due to happen in the next week
- Today: all coursework due in the next 24 hours & institutional announcements (emergency notifications, updates, planned outages, etc.)
- Recent: activity stream items previously featured in the Today section
Customizing the Activity Stream will tailor the news feed to fit student preferences and support academic success.
To customize:
1. Navigate to the Activity Stream by clicking Activity Stream in the window’s left side panel.
2. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner of the window.
3. Ensure only changes to the Settings for Stream Notifications are being made.
4. Choose the desired options.
5. Click Save.
