How to Request a YSU Login/Email Name Change

How do I request a change of my YSU login or email name?

Answer

Note: This service will NOT change an employee's INB (Oracle) Account.  

When to request a name change for an YSU Login/email:

If a student or employee wishes to change their name, they must provide the appropriate documentation to either the Penguin Service Center (for students) or HR (for employees). If the student or employee requested their YSU Login and email address changed, the appropriate office will open a Technology Support ticket.  

How to request an YSU login or email name change:

  1. Navigate to YSU Logon ID: Request Name Change on the Technology Support Portal
  2. Sign in with your YSU Login ID and password if prompted.
  3. Click Request Service (typically located on the right side of the page).
  4. Complete the following information. The fields with an asterisk are required:
    • Student/Employee Requesting Name Change*:  This field is automatically populated with your name/department. Change this field from your name to the student/employee requesting the YSU Login ID/Email name change.  Banner ID, typed into this field, will also produce the name. Use 'YSU Guest' (Y00000000) name/Banner ID when the person is not in TDX.
    • Department: The department associated with the person requesting their YSU Login ID and Email changed. Do not modify the Department.
    • Description: If the student/employee is not in TDX (YSU Guest is used) enter the Banner ID and name of person requesting the name change.
    • Attachment: Click Browse to attach any file(s) relevant to the request; this can include screenshots, error logs, etc.
  5. ​​Once you have completed the form, click Request at the bottom of the page.
