Who manages and handles these phone when they are not working?
Answer
Information Technology Services manages all phones across campus and includes:
- Blue Light Pole Phones
- Call Boxes that can be found in the parking deck or a building
- Elevator Phones
If a client reports that an emergency blue light pole phone on campus, a call box on a building or parking deck, or elevator phone is not working, a ticket should be created and escalated to the Field Techs. The field techs work in conjunction with the Network/Telecom Team to resolve and the ticket should include the area of the emergency blue light phone pole, the building or parking deck of the call box, or the building and location of the elevator for the elevator phone. Please also provide details on what the issues is such as he blue light not being lit, the elevator phone constantly ringing or other issues.
If this occurs after 5:00 pm (EST), the after hours team should create a ticket to escalate to us and immediately call the Service Desk manager: Sharyn Zembower at 567-674-8150.
