How do I set up the PenguinSafe App?

Download the PenguinSafe App for your mobile device
The Penguin Safe App is available for download at the App Store for iPhone and the Google Play Store for Android.
To Register for Mobile BlueLight:
1. Open the app
2. Allow PenguinSafe to send you notifications.
3. Tap Sign in with YSU Credentials.
4. Enter your full YSU email address.
5. Enter your password.
6. Verify your identity (Multi-factor authentication)
*Note-If you do not have the Outlook Mobile app, select another type of authentication. Tap the blue link that says "I can't use my Outlook Mobile App right now."
Select text or phone call as your means of verification.
7. Tap Continue.
8. Tap Enable Notifications.
9. Verify that you've enable notifications, then tap the back arrow.
10. Tap Mobile BlueLight.
11. Tap Register for Mobile BlueLight.
12. Enter your first and last name, YSU email address, and phone number. Then tap Continue.
13. You will get verification that you've registered for Mobile BlueLight. Tap Continue.
14. Please read the instructions on how to use Mobile BlueLight on the next screen. Then, tap the banner at the top of the app to return to the PenguinSafe home screen.
To Register for Virtual Walkhome:
1. Tap Virtual Walkhome on the app home screen.
2. You will be prompted to allow PenguinSafe to use your location. Select "Allow While Using App".
3. Verify your information is correct. (You should have entered this information when you registered for the Mobile BlueLight). Then tap Continue.
4. You will receive confirmation that you have successfully registered for Virtual Walkhome. Tap Continue.
5. Please read the instructions on how to use Virtual Walkhome on the next screen. Then, tap the banner at the top of the app to return to the PenguinSafe home screen.
