MFA: Unenroll and Re-enroll in Device Native Mail Apps

How do I remove and reinstall YSU Email on the iOS Native Mail App and Android Mail App.

If you have recently become enrolled in MFA and are unable to access your YSU email from the phone mail App, please select your mail App below and follow the steps to remove and re-add your accounts.  This will resolve the access issue.

To Remove YSU Email From IOS Mail App:

1. Navigate to Settings > Mail > Accounts
2. Tap on Exchange.
3. Tap on "Delete Account" at the bottom.

To Add YSU Email From iOS Mail App:

1. Navigate to Settings > Mail > Accounts
2. Tap Add Account
3. Select Microsoft Exchange.
4. Enter your myYSUusername@ysu.edu email address and tap next
5. Tap Sign In
6. You will then receive a prompt for login.microsoft.com. Enter your portal password, then tap Sign in.
7. Authenticate when prompted.

Configure settings to your preference and tap save.

Gmail App

Removing YSU Email Account in Gmail (Android):

1. Open the Gmail app
2. In the top right, tap on your profile picture.
3. Tap Manage accounts on this device
4. Choose the account you want to remove
5. At the bottom, tap Remove account

Adding YSU Email Account in Gmail (Android):

1. Open the Gmail app
2. In the top right, tap on your profile picture
3. Tap Add another account.
4. Choose the Outlook, Hotmail, and Live
5. Sign in using your full YSU email and password
6. Sign in to the YSU single sign on page using your Username and Password
7. Select your phone number to verify identity
8. Enter the verification code sent to your phone, tap verify
9. Tap agree

Samsung Mail App

Removing YSU Email Account in Samsung Email:

1. Open the Email app
2. In the top left, tap the three horizontal lines
3. On the menu, tap the gear symbol in the upper right
4. Tap on the email account you would like to remove
5. Tap Remove in the upper right
6. In the pop up message, tap Remove

Adding YSU Email Account in Samsung Email:

1. Open the Email app
2. When opening the app you will see the Set up Email screen, choose Office 365
3. Sign in using your full YSU email and password
4. Sign in to the YSU Single Sign On page using your username and password
5. Select your phone number to verify identity
6. Enter the verification code sent to your phone, tap verify
7. Tap agree
8. In the manual setup page, select your wanted options and then press Done
9. If you see the Phone Administrator screen, press Activate
10. You can edit your email name if you want to, press Done when finished
