How do I connect to WiFi on campus and in the residence halls?

Get Connected
YSU has upgraded and remediated WiFi in all academic buildings and Maag Library. WiFi capacity access has doubled and all new standard equipment has been installed. The fountain area outside Kilcawley House and the M70 lot near the stadium have outside WiFi access. Look for the Y-Fi Zone signage.
To connect to WiFi, select YSU_WiFi and enter your YSU username and password. Your username is the section of your email address before the “@student.ysu.edu”. For example, if your email address is ptpenguin@student.ysu.edu, your Username is ptpenguin. If you have any questions or need assistance with your password, check out this our article for how to reset your password.
YSU_Guest WiFi can be used by guests that need Internet access but do not have YSU credentials.
YSU Housing
The following housing locations are managed by YSU Information Technology Services. Join these networks using the following information in the specified locations:
- Kilcawley House, Lyden House, Cafaro House, Courtyards, Buechner Hall:
- YSU_WiFi: Use YSU username and password to join.
- Connection instructions can be found here.
- YSU_Guest: Open network with limited bandwidth for family and friends.
- Connection instructions can be found here.
- YSU_NonStandard_Devices: Used for gaming consoles, TV's, streaming boxes (Roku, Chromecast, etc) that are unable to connect to the standard YSU_WiFi network.
- Connection to this network requires approval. Submit a request here.

Lofts, Edge and Enclave networks are privately managed. Please use the contacts below for support.
