Microsoft 365: Fix Redirects/Stuck Office 365 Login

Question

How do I fix too many redirects or being stuck at the Office 365 login?

Answer

To fix a stuck Office 365 login loop, you'll need to clear all browser caches associated with Office 365. Below you'll find the following instructions for Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer instructions.

Google Chrome:

  1. Click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right of browser.

  2. Scroll down to Settings.

  3. Click on Content Settings.

  4. Click on Reset Settings in the lower left.

  5. Click on Restore settings to their original defaults*

  6. Click on Reset Settings

  7. Once finished. Close browser and reopen it. 

*Note: This will not delete bookmarks or saved passwords.

Firefox:

  1. Click the 3 horizontal lines in the upper right of browser.

  2. Select help at the bottom of the tab.

  3. Click on More troubleshooting information.

  4. Click on Refresh Firefox*.

  5. Click on Refresh Firefox again.

  6. Firefox will close and reopen.

*Note: This will not delete bookmarks or saved passwords.

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right of browser.

  2. Click Settings at the bottom of the tab.

  3. Click on Clear browsing data.

  4. Under Time range choose All time.

  5. Click on Clear now.

  6. Under Clear browsing data for Internet Explorer click on Choose what to clear.

  7. Make sure Passwords is unchecked. 

  8. Click on Delete*.

  9. Close the browser and reopen it.

*Note: This will not delete bookmarks or saved passwords.

Safari:

  1. Click on Safari in the upper left.
     
  2. Click on Clear History
     
  3. Next to Clear select All History
     
  4. Click on Clear History*.
     
  5. Close browser and reopen it.

*Note: This will not delete bookmarks or saved passwords.
