1) How do I know my printer page count? How many pages do you have remaining?

Students begin with 500 print pages at the start of the semester.  There's two (2)  ways to identify your page count, Sign into the PaperCut MF App to view your count or log in to a Student designated printer.

1) Sign into the PaperCut MF App or

a.) Visit https://print.ysu.edu:9192/.  Note: You must be on the YSU network (YSU_Wifi).

b.) Log in with your YSU Username and Password

c.)  The Summary page reveals your count, history, and environmental impact.

2) Swipe or key into a student designated printer.

a.) Use the card reader to swipe your Y-card (student ID) to sign into the printer. If you do not have a Y-card, please visit the Penguin Information Desk located on the second floor of Kilcawley Center to obtain a card.

b.) Tap the keyboard located in the upper right corner to type your YSU Username and Password.

c.) Your page count displays on the screen at sign-on.

2) How does printing in color differ from printing in black and white?

  • Black and White Page = 1 count / per printed page
  • Color Page = 3 counts / per printed page

4) How can I obtain more print pages when my count is too low?

Please click the link below, download the additional print pages application, fill it out, and take it to your Dean's Office.  If approved, the Dean's Office will contact the IT Service Desk on your behalf.

5) Where are Student Printers on campus?

Student printers around campus are identified by the Penguin Print Station sign.

6) Are printers listed in the YSU App?

Yes.  Open the YSU App. and search "Printers" for a map of printer locations around campus.  If you do not have the YSU App, it can be obtained from your devices' app store.

7) What should you do when a printer malfunctions?

 If you encounter any problems printing on a student printer, please contact the IT Service Desk at (330) 941-1595.
