Question

How do I use the technology in the WCBA Conference Center?

Answer
  • There are 2 lecterns in the conference center (rooms 3422 & 3423).
  • Each lectern is equipped with a PC, an Airtame (for wireless streaming from a laptop) and 2 wireless lapel microphones.
  • The rooms can be used independently or as a combined space.

Independent Use:

To turn the system on:
From the black Extron control panel on the lectern:

  • Press the ‘ON’ button.
  • Select ‘PC’ to use the PC located in the lectern
  • Select ‘LAPTOP’ to use the Airtame to stream your content wirelessly from a mobile device (follow the connection instructions displayed on the projector screen).

Wireless Microphone:  Remove lapel mic from charging base (located on shelf inside lectern) and press the button on the side of microphone to power on/off (green light  = ON / red light = OFF).

**If you receive feedback from the microphones then you must turn down the system volume using the volume controls located on the black Extron control panel until the feedback stops.

Combined Use (output from middle lectern (3423) to both projectors (3422 & 3423)):

To turn the system on:
MIDDLE LECTERN (3423):

From the black Extron control panel on the lectern:

  • Press the ‘ON’ button.
  • Select ‘PC’ to use the PC located in the lectern
  • Select ‘LAPTOP’ to use the Airtame to stream your content wirelessly from a mobile device (follow the connection instructions displayed on the projector screen).

SIDE / OFFSET LECTERN (3422):

From the black Extron control panel on the lectern:

  • Press the ‘ON’ button.
  • Press the UNLABELED button on the BOTTOM LEFT.  This will route the audio/video signal from the middle lectern (3423) to the projector in 3422

Wireless Microphone: 
YOU MUST USE THE WIRELESS MICS FROM THE MIDDLE LECTERN (3423) WHEN USING THE ROOMS AS A COMBINED SPACE!!

Remove lapel mic from charging base (located on shelf inside 3423 lectern) and press the button on the side of microphone to power on/off (green light  = ON / red light = OFF).

  • Press the ‘OFF’ button on both lecterns
