Each user has to create an account with Bentley in order for them to use the program. If you do not have an account, you will need to register for one.
First, open the Bentley Connection Client
Next, click the “New User? Register Now” option at the bottom of the connection client window
You have to use your YSU email address to create the account. You should enter “Youngstown State University” and Other – Student for their Profession (Unless you are a professor) . Once you register, you will get a verification email to confirm your account. Once this process is complete, you will be able to sign-in, using this new account information, to the Connection Client. You can then open up and Staad.Pro and it should now be licensed for you.
In the event students are having issues, they can verify their account by logging in here: Bentley Education - Unlimited access to Bentley engineering applications. Once logged in, click the dropdown menu at the top right corner under their name, go to my Dashboard, then click on the My profile tab next to it (show below). Information should be entered, Porfession should be set to student, then they need to click save at the bottom. Once they click save, they should get a pop-up message that their profile has been updated and they should have access. If something is wrong, the pop-up will say their access has been revoked.
