PC: Improve Cursor Visibility

Question

How can I improve the visibility of the cursor on a PC?

Answer

In the Control Panel, open the Ease of Access options to select alternatives for improving visuals on the screen.

1. Change how your mouse works: makes the mouse easier to use,

  • Mouse pointers — change the color and size of mouse pointers.

  • Control the mouse with keyboard — use the numeric keypad to move the mouse
  • Make it easier to manage windows — Activates window by hovering over it with mouse

Click Apply to save your changes.

 

2. Optimize visual display: makes the computer easier to see. 

  • High Contrast

  • Hear text and descriptions read aloud — Narrator reads aloud any text on the screen while  Audio Description allows descriptions of what's happening in videos.
  • Make things on screen larger — change the size of text and icons

Magnifier is also an application. In Windows Search Bar type in magnifier. This will open up a window which allows you to change the size of the screen.

  • Make things on screen easier to see — adjust the color, transparency of windows, and blinking cursor thickness.
