How do I approve a request made in the Technology Support Portal?

Some services within the Technology Support Portal have an approval Workflow Step before the request may be granted, for example, Applications for Banner Security. One or more approvers must review and take action for the request to proceed to completion in a workflow.
An email is sent to an Approver immediately after submission and a service request is opened in the Technology Support Portal.
There are two ways to access the approval Workflow Step: from the email link or from My Approvals located on the Home page of the Technology Support Portal in the My Dashboard section.
Each email contains two links. The first link is used to view the details of the request. The second link is to the Workflow Step approval page.
- Click link one (1) to review the details of the requested item.
- Click the Approval: Supervisor link in the Current Workflow Step after reviewing the contents of the page.
- Click Approve or Reject to complete approval actions. (Shown in section (2) of this article.).
- Click the Approve or Reject this Workflow Step link for a summary of the requests.
- Review the request by clicking the first link on the page.
- Click the Approve or Reject button to move the request to the next step in the Workflow.
Begin approvals on the Home page of the Technology Support Portal in the My Dashboard section.
- Click My Approvals.
2. Click the service item name (a) in the Item column or Approval: Supervisor (b) in the Step column to view the Current Workflow Step page.
- Item: Click the item name to review the details of the request as described in Section 1b.
- Step: Click Approval: Supervisor to Approve or Reject the requested services as described in Section 2a.
