How do I request support from the IT Application Services team for Banner-related production issues, quick assistance, changes requests, and more?

Answer
  1. Click the Technology Support icon on your desktop to enter the portal. 
  2. Choose the Business Applications category.
  3. Choose the Banner service that best matches your needs.
  • Banner: Report Issue/Problem
    • Use this service when you are experiencing a production problem that needs immediate IT attention.
    • This is considered an urgent request. The entire Application Services development staff is notified along with the Manager and Director.
  • Banner: Request Information/Assistance
    • Use this service when you need IT assistance that is not time sensitive, is not a production problem, and is not requesting a change to data or reports. 
    • This is considered a medium urgency request. The Application Services development staff is notified along with the Manager and Director. This will be addressed as time permits. 
  • Banner: Request a Change
    • Use this service when a change is needed to Banner data or any of the Banner-integrated applications. 
    • This is considered a planned enhancement. The Application Services Manager and Director are notified to prioritize and assign accordingly.
  • Banner: Request Duplicate PIDM Correction
    • Use this service after a duplicate PIDM is identified and staff members have agreed to move forward with a correction. Prior to requesting this service, all members of the PIDM Patrol list service (yes_pidm_patrol@lists.ysu.edu) should be notified. 
    • This is considered a planned enhancement. The Application Services Manager and Director are notified to prioritize and assign accordingly.
  • WebFOCUS: Report Issue/Problem
    • Use this service when you are experiencing a WebFOCUS production problem that needs immediate IT attention.
    • This is considered an urgent request. The entire Application Services development staff is notified along with the Manager and Director.
  • WebFOCUS: Request Report or Service
    • Use this service when a change is needed for an existing WebFOCUS report or when a new one is needed.
    • This is considered a planned enhancement. The Application Services Manager and Director are notified to prioritize and assign accordingly.
