How do I change my preferred first name?

This article provides step by step instructions or you can visit the Penguin Service Center page for additional information regarding your personal information:

1. Go to ysu.edu and click on Portal in the top right of the website.
2. Log in using your YSU email address and password.
3. Locate the Student Dashboard card.

4. Under the "Records" section, click ​​​​​​​View/Update Personal Information.
   • 
      
5. Look for the "Personal Details" section and click the blue Edit button on the right of the section.
