   How do you add Blackboard assignment data to your Course Leaf SYL syllabus?

This article provides instructions for taking assignment data created in Blackboard and adding it to a syllabus in Course Leaf SYL.

What Assessment Data is Pulled from Blackboard?
These appear on Assignments/Assessments and Schedule of Topics in the CourseLeaf SYL Syllabus.

1. Log in to Blackboard and select the course that contains the assignments you want to copy. Then, create or verify the course content in 
    Blackboard, such as assignments, tests, discussions, journals, and any other required activities.

           2. Once the materials have been created in Blackboard, remain in Blackboard and click the URL/address bar at the top of your browser window. 
               Locate the course code near the end of the URL. The course code is made up of numbers and underscores. Copy only the numbers and
               underscores between the / forward slashes—do not include any forward   slashes (/).
               In this screenshot example below the course code you are copying would be _125941_1             
 

            3. With the course code copied, log into your syllabus inside the Course Leaf SYL syllabus repository and create your syllabus, if needed. For
                access instructions, refer to the following article: Article - Course Leaf SYL: How to Create a Syllabus.

            4. Once inside your syllabus,
                1. Select the “Edit Page Button” to enter editing mode
                2. Paste the Blackboard code copied from Blackboard in the “Blackboard ID” field
                3. Select the floppy disk icon next to the Blackboard ID box to Synchronize the data from the Blackboard course.

 

 

 5. Once the synchronization is complete, the assignment data will appear in the Assignments and Assessments and Schedule of Topics sections
     of the syllabus. Review both sections carefully to make sure all information is accurate and complete.
