How do you use Breakout Rooms in Microsoft Teams?

- Connect with each other
NOTE: Microsoft Teams does not automatically assign members to breakout rooms. You are responsible for determining the groups and manually adding individuals to each breakout group (channel).
A. Create a channel for breakout groups
- Start with a Team / Class you've already created.

- Click on three dots (More Options)to the right name of the team name.

- Select Add channel.

- Give the channel a name and select the channel type.

5. Click Create.
6. After creating the channel, add members to each one.
If the "Add members" option doesn't appear automatically, click the three dots next to the breakout
group/channel name and select Add members.
7. Repeat these steps for each breakout group you need.

B. Visit Group Meetings to Check Progress
- Click the name of the channel to enter it.
- Click Meet Now at the bottom of the page to join the discussion.

- Use the Play/Pause button to move from one breakout to the another.
- Use the Red Phone icon to leave the breakout session.
