Banner: Request a Change or Enhancement in Banner


How do I request a change or enhancement to a YSU-written report/process or request a new YSU-written report/process in Banner?


Use this service to request a change/enhancement to a YSU-written report/process or request a new YSU-written report/process in our Banner System.  This includes also includes 3rd-Party Integrated Systems, and any supporting Banner tools (BDM, ePrint, Form Fusion etc.).  

This service is considered as a planned enhancement. The Application Services Manager and Director are notified to prioritize and assign accordingly.   

How to Request a Change/Enhancement to Business Applications (Banner)

  1. Click the Banner: Request Change button on the Technology Support Portal
  2. Sign in with your YSU Login ID and password if prompted.
  3. Click Request Change (typically located on the right side of the page).
  4. You will be prompted to complete the following information. The items with an asterisk are required:
    • Business Module*: Select the Banner system this request is related to.
    • Related Software*: Enter the non-Banner (3rd party) software this request pertains to.
    • Requested Due Date*: Select the date you are requesting this change to be made by.
    • Request is Mandated By: This indicates this change request is mandated by federal, state or local regulations (ie: Government regulation, HEI (Higher Education Information System), Internal/External Auditor). The default is N/A (Not Applicable)
    • Compliance Date: Select the date that the mandated change is required to be compliant by.
    • Impact: Select the impact in terms of the number of individuals affected by this request.
    • Urgency*: Select the importance of this request and how quickly it needs attention.
    • Title*: Enter a short description of the information or assistance you are requesting.
    • Description*: Describe in detail the type of information or assistance you are requesting; provide as much information as possible to expedite your request.
    • Attachment: Click Browse to attach any file(s) relevant to this request; this can include screenshots, error logs, etc.
  5. ​​Once you have completed the form, click Request Service.
